Privacy Policy

Welcome to Trade Alert, a price alert application developed by DreamLabs ("we", "us", or "our"). Trade Alert lets traders set price alerts on cryptocurrency, metals, forex, and market indices, and receive alarms or notifications when target prices are reached.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have regarding your data. By using Trade Alert, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We collect the following categories of information when you use Trade Alert:

• Delivering price alerts: Your alert settings are stored and continuously monitored by our backend. When a target price is reached, a push notification is sent to your device using your FCM token.
• Account management: Your email and session token are used to authenticate you, maintain your login session, and prevent unauthorised access from other devices.
• App personalisation: Your display name and badge status are stored locally and in our database to personalise your experience in Settings and other screens.
• Service communications: When you submit feedback as a Founding Member, we send your name, email, and feedback text to our developer email (support.dreamlabs@gmail.com). This is the only email communication we send.
• Advertising: We use Google AdMob to display native advertisements in the app. AdMob may collect your Android Advertising ID and app usage data to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalised ads in your device settings under Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID. See Section 6 for details.
• App improvement: Feedback you submit is stored in our database and read by the developer only. It is never shared with third parties.
• Bug reports: When you submit a bug report, your name, email, user ID, problem category, description, and optionally device logs for the selected date are sent to our support email. Bug reports are also saved to our Firebase database. This information is used solely to diagnose and fix the reported issue.
• App diagnostic logs: The app stores technical event logs locally on your device only (never uploaded automatically). Logs are automatically deleted after 7 days. You may voluntarily attach logs from a specific date when submitting a bug report, to help us diagnose the issue faster.

Trade Alert uses market price data from financial data providers to monitor your alert conditions. Our backend server connects to these providers via live WebSocket connections and REST APIs — your personal information is never sent to any price data provider.

Live prices are displayed in the app using data delivered through our secure backend infrastructure. All price monitoring and alert checking happens on our servers in real time, not on your device. When a price target is reached, our server sends a push notification to your device via Firebase Cloud Messaging.

Your data is stored in two places:

• On your device (local storage): Alert settings, your name, badge status, app preferences, and technical diagnostic logs are stored locally in Android SharedPreferences. This data is not accessible to other apps on your device. Diagnostic logs are automatically deleted after 7 days.
• Firebase (Google Cloud): Your account information, alert settings, alert history, and FCM token are stored in Google Firebase Firestore and Firebase Realtime Database (RTDB), hosted on Google's secure cloud infrastructure. Active alerts are also temporarily stored in Firebase RTDB so our server can monitor them in real time and immediately remove them when triggered or deleted.

We implement the following security measures:

• All communication between the app and Firebase uses HTTPS encryption
• Firebase security rules restrict data access so each user can only access their own data
• Session tokens are used to prevent simultaneous logins from multiple devices
• FCM tokens are cleared from our database when you sign out
• Automatic backup of app data is disabled to prevent data restoration on reinstall

Trade Alert uses the following third-party services that have their own privacy policies:

We use Google AdMob to display native advertisements. AdMob may collect advertising identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID) and usage data to serve personalised or non-personalised ads. You can opt out of personalised ads in your device settings under Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID.

• Active alerts — retained until you delete them or they are triggered
• Alert history — retained until you delete individual history entries from the app. Each time you open the app, it syncs your latest 100 history entries from our servers. Any history beyond 100 entries is automatically deleted from our servers to keep your data minimal and the app fast.
• Account data (email, name, FCM token, session token) — retained for as long as your account exists
• Founding Member feedback — retained indefinitely as it is used for product development
• Local device data — cleared when you uninstall the app or sign out

When you sign out of the app, your FCM token is deleted from our database and your local data is cleared. When you delete your account, all your data including alerts, history, and personal information is permanently and automatically removed from our database.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction: Update your name directly in the app via Settings → Profile
• Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time using one of these methods:
  • Directly in the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account
  • Via our account deletion page: https://delete-account-tradealert.dreamlabs.workers.dev/
  Deletion is automatic and immediate. All your alerts, history, and personal data are permanently removed.
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format
• Objection: Object to processing of your data in certain circumstances

Trade Alert is designed for traders and is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to remove that information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the app evolves. When we make significant changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Continued use of Trade Alert after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
